Apopka is spread out. Short trips here are not actually short.
Distances between the places you go are longer than in the older parts of Orlando, and most of the route is open road rather than a quiet street.

Open road means lights and signals matter
A bike that is good on a quiet residential street is not automatically good on an arterial at dusk. Being seen stops being a nice extra and becomes the point.
The Urban X, Nomad Pro, Run Mini, Cycrun 2.0 and CycHunter 2.0 all carry a brake light and indicators as standard rather than as an accessory you bolt on later.

Class 3 is worth it when the road is fast
On a 45 mph road, the gap between a 20 mph bike and a 28 mph bike is the difference between being overtaken constantly and keeping up with the slower traffic.
That is a real safety argument, not a performance one. If your route is mostly open road, ride a Class 3 bike before you decide.
