Privacy policy

Who this covers

This policy applies to Volt World USA, trading as Volt World, at 7226 W Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32818. It covers this website and the ordinary business that follows from it: enquiries, test rides, sales, warranty claims and repairs.

We are a single shop, not a network of companies. There is no parent organisation receiving your information behind the scenes.

What we collect

What you send through the form. The name and contact you type, the model you are interested in, when you would like to come, and anything you write in the message box. We store it so the enquiry does not get lost, together with which page you sent it from and the date.

What you give us any other way. Whatever you choose to tell us when you call, email, message or walk in. If you buy a bike or book a repair we will also hold the model, the serial number on the frame, the date and what was done.

What the site records on its own. Nothing. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no tracking of any kind on these pages. We do not know you were here unless you write to us.

What our host records. Like every website, this one is served by a hosting provider that keeps short-lived technical logs of requests, including IP addresses, for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you and we do not combine them with anything else.

Payment details. None. Nothing is sold through this website, and we do not store card numbers.

Why we use it

To answer you, to arrange a test ride, to complete a sale, to honour a warranty, and to carry out a repair and tell you what it cost. We also use it where the law requires us to keep records of a transaction.

We do not use your information to advertise to you, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us once.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking technologies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Your browser may store small amounts of data for its own purposes, such as remembering a comparison you ticked on the bikes page. That stays in your browser, is readable only by you, and is never sent to us.

The enquiry form

When you submit the form, it posts to this website, which passes it to our database. We get your enquiry and an email telling us it arrived. Nothing is sent to an advertising network, a lead broker or any other third party.

The form also carries a hidden field that people never see. It exists to catch automated spam. If you are a person, it stays empty and nothing about you is recorded by it.

If you use the WhatsApp button instead, that conversation lives in WhatsApp and is governed by WhatsApp’s own privacy terms alongside this one.

Who we share it with

Service providers. Vercel hosts this website. Supabase stores the enquiries, on servers in the United States. Resend delivers the email that tells us an enquiry arrived. Add to those the companies that carry our email and messages and process payments we take in the shop. Each acts on our instructions and only to provide that service.

Manufacturers and distributors, where a warranty claim requires it — typically the serial number and a description of the fault.

Where the law requires it, such as a subpoena, a safety recall or a tax obligation.

If the business changes hands, customer records may transfer with it. You would be told before that happened.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in US state privacy laws. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months. There is no opt-out to request because there is nothing to opt out of.

Your rights

Several US states now give residents rights over their personal information, including California, Florida, Virginia, Colorado and Connecticut. Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to know what we hold, get a copy, correct it, delete it, or ask us to stop selling or sharing it.

We extend all of those rights to every customer, wherever you live. Sorting people by state would cost us more effort than simply answering the question.

To use any of them, write to voltworldusa@gmail.com or call (689) 316-0434. There is no form and no queue. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking. We may need to confirm who you are before handing over a record, which usually means matching the details against an order.

If you think we have got it wrong, tell us first and we will try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to your state attorney general.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

Form enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them and for up to twelve months afterwards, so we can pick up a conversation you started last season. After that they are deleted. Ask us sooner and we will delete yours straight away.

Sales and repair records are kept for as long as the warranty runs and for as long as tax and consumer-protection rules require, then deleted.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries go to the database through our own server, never straight from your browser, and the database is configured so that the key the website uses can add an enquiry and cannot read one back. Reading them takes a separate credential that never leaves our hands.

No system is perfect, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. If a breach ever affected your information, we would notify you as the law requires.

Other sites

Pages here load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google’s servers see the request your browser makes for them. Links to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook are ordinary links: once you arrive, those companies apply their own policies, not ours.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Where a change is significant — new tracking, a different use of your information — we will say so on the page rather than hope you notice.
